Andrew M. Beato's practice includes litigation in the areas of trade
regulation, commercial practices, and representing qui tam relators
under the False Claims Act. In addition, Mr. Beato represents
clients in litigation and transactional matters before the Federal
Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and state
agencies.
Mr. Beato graduated summa cum laude with distinction from Boston
University in 1991. He earned his J.D. from American University, The
Washington College of Law, where he was a staff editor of The
American University Journal of International Law and Policy. He is
admitted to practice in federal and state courts in Maryland and the
District of Columbia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is
a member of the American Bar Association (Antitrust Section),
Maryland State Bar Association, and the District of Columbia Bar
Association.
Mr. Beato is the author of numerous publications including "Newly
Independent and Separating States' Succession to Treaties," 9 Am.
U.J. Int'l L. & Pol'y 525 (1994). He also is co-author in the
upcoming revised edition of The Law of Law Firms (West), as well as
a chapter co-author in the upcoming ABA publication entitled
"Consumer Law Developments." |
