We practice before the DOJ, SEC, FINRA, CFTC, FinCEN, OFAC, CFPB, FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve, FTC, SIGTARP, state banking agencies, federal inspectors general, and state attorneys general. Our attorneys, consisting of former senior-level federal prosecutors, a federal public defender, JAG officer, federal Independent Counsel, Associate Counsel for the Whitewater Investigation, and the Associate Dean at Georgetown University Law Center (and author on “Federal White Collar Crime," West, 5th Ed., 2012), were at the forefront of DOJ’s recent use of FIRREA to conduct financial fraud investigations, including BSA/AML violations, complex RMBS fraud, and other securities fraud matters, and its expansion of fair lending enforcement.

Our attorneys are experts at developing creative solutions to complex problems.  We begin each case with lean and efficient staffing in order to maximize the benefits for our clients.  We have the ability to add resources economically and quickly when necessary. Stein Mitchell Beato & Missner LLP employs a team of in-house investigators, including former state and federal law enforcement officers, who assist in the defense of our clients.  From the beginning of each case we focus on core issues, work with our clients to resolve matters efficiently and effectively, and develop successful strategies in the event of a trial.
